Supervisors Charles McGlashan and Susan Adams speak with KCBS reporter George Harris at BYOB Marin's press conference at the Marin County Farmers Market on December 17, 2010.
Join us for BYOBag Days!
The third Saturday of every month:
March 20, 2010
April 17, 2010
May 15, 2010
June 19, 2010
All volunteers are welcome! We need informed, communicative people to provide educational outreach to patrons and community members when they shop at one of our event-sponsored locations!
Get involved – Join a Team!
Between now and January 16, we are asking everyone interested in volunteering their efforts to join a team which will adopt a market. We are trying to match the market with the town you live in. You are asked to be present on 1/16 (or one of the other BYOBag days) from 11-3pm.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING AND WE WILL ASSIGN YOU TO A TEAM.
Our goal is to educate and mobilize people to support the proposed ordinance and encourage them to change their behavior. The ordinance targeted to be passed next year. Our goal is NO PAPER, NO PLASTIC.
Teen Involvement
Join our student movement – we want to hear your voice, and for you to have a presence at every grocery store in Marin!
Sponsored by Teens Turning Green
Teens Turning Green has chapters in many middle and high schools in Marin. We are a national movement of teens transforming the world by investigating and eliminating toxic exposures that threaten our health and the environment. The movement focuses on exposures in daily life, on school campuses and in local communities. By advocating for policy change and educating peers and communities about healthy habits, these teens inspire us all to work toward a sustainable future.
IF YOU ARE A TEACHER, PLEASE LET YOUR STUDENTS KNOW ABOUT THIS EFFORT.
