BYOBAG Marin Bag Content – Upcoming!

As we are preparing for the another successful BYOBag Day in Marin, we have developed some exciting, creative ideas to attract media attention, and engage many Marin residents. We are asking students in our community to design some really fun bags based on the idea of a single-use bag-free county (goal: no paper and no plastic!).

These bags would be used to bring attention to BYOBag Marin. People will wear show them outside of markets on BYOBag Days to remind shoppers to bring their own bags and help draw attention to this vital behavior change. The bags should be made out of sustainable or recycled materials, and include catchy art and words to  bring awareness to consumers.

We hope for a huge response! Please let us know if you want to submit a bag to be considered for the grand prize or runner-up prizes (2nd and 3rd place). Students are encouraged to model their bags outside of one of our local markets on BYOBag Saturdays.. Our goal is to encourage people to BYOBag – every day! The bag that is the most innovative and eye catching will win a gift VISA gift certificate and a collection of eco-products (worth over $100) from Teens Turning Green.

Please contact us at: info@teensturninggreen.org or (415)289-1001 to let us know you will be participating in the BYOBag Day Bag Contest.

Deadline for submissions: Watch for details!!!
THE WINNING BAG WILL BE FEATURED AT ALL SPECIAL BYOBAG CIVIC EVENTS!
INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND FELLOW ECO-COUNCIL MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE, AND HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF 100 VOLUNTEERS (5 – 6 PER MARKET).
LET’S MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE IN THE COUNTY KNOWS ABOUT THIS ORDINANCE AND SUPPORTS IT WITH THEIR ACTIONS! IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR OUR PLANET.
